Haryana State Education Department will be conducting the online examinations for the government school students from class 3 to 6 from today. The examinations were earlier scheduled to begin from February 1, 2021, but were postponed due to the ongoing farmer protests and internet suspension in the different districts.

New schedule on Avsar app

The state Directorate of School Education directed the officials to inform the heads of schools of the new examination schedule through the Avsar App. The department also added that it is an appropriate time to begin the exams and the department has released a fresh schedule for the online assessment of students of Classes 3 to 9 and 11 via the Avsar App. According to the order issued, the schools have also been asked to ensure that all the teachers and students are informed about the same and the exams are conducted smoothly.

Tests to be conducted based on complete syllabus

The state education department has also asked the officials to direct the school heads and teachers to inform the students that the test will be conducted from the entire syllabus taught until December 2020 consisting of objective type questions. The schools have also been asked to ensure full participation of the students while those finding difficulties in accessing the app must either be helped by the teachers or the education volunteers trained by the department last month.

According to officials, schools are yet to reopen for the primary sections and the schools do not want it to impact the assessment scheduled. Officials have also stated that a common assessment test across the state must be incorporated and the students of Class 10 and 12 will have offline examinations. The assessment will not only help in assessing the learning levels of students through online classes but also evaluate the comfort in taking the exams on digital platforms.

And so the department has given the students the liberty to pick any time during the 24 hours to take the test.
