JEE Main 2021: CSAB Counselling Dates To Release Soon for Admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs

CSAB Special Round

JEE Main CSAB 2021: As per the updates, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will soon release the CSAB 2021 special round schedule. Candidates will be able to register for the CSAB special rounds by logging into the official website using JEE Main application number and password. The CSAB special round 2021 counselling will be done based on the JEE Main merit list 2021. It will be held after the completion of JoSAA 2021 for admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). Candidates who participated in JoSAA counselling 2021 but were either not satisfied with the allotment or not allocated seats are eligible to participate in CSAB 2021 special round counselling.

Central Seat Allotment Board (CSAB) will conduct the special round counselling for admission to the B.Tech courses offered at 25 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), 31 National Institutes of Information Technology (NITs) and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) through JEE Main 2021 scores.

Registration for Central Seat Allotment Board (CSAB)

To participate in the CSAB 2021 special round seat allotment, candidates have to register on the official website - csab.nic.in, using their JEE Main 2021 application number and password. They will have to pay the required fee and fill their choice of institutes/colleges. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their JEE Main rank 2021 and the availability of seats.

Eligibility Requirement of CSAB Special Round 2021

To participate in CSAB special round 2021, candidates must have a valid JEE Main rank. Those candidates who participated in JoSAA 2021 but who were not allotted any seat will be eligible for CSAB 2021 special round. Also, it should be noted that those candidates who opted not to participate in the special round after JoSAA will not be eligible for CSAB 2021 special round admission procedure.

Further, those who are allotted seats through JoSAA 2021 but did not accept or cancelled the allotted seat will also be eligible for CSAB 2021 special round. Candidates, who have opted“ Not to participate in the special round” at the time of reporting at the allotted institute, cannot register in CSAB special round.
