
The National Testing Agency has extended the time window for the application correction for the JEE Main April 2020 and NEET UG 2020 examinations. According to the notification, the application correction window will be available until the lockdown ends. The lockdown imposed due to the COVID-19 spread was extended by the Prime Minister until May 3, 2020. Human resource Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal took to twitter to announce the news regarding the application correction for both the examinations. Candidates will be able to make the corrections in the application form including the choice of cities for the examinations.
According to the official notification shared by the HRD Minister on this official twitter account the dates for the application correction for the JEE Main April 2020 and the NEET 2020 examinations dates were extended to May 3, 2020. The changes in the application correction dates have been made due to the requests put forth by the parents of the students appearing for the examinations.
The notification further adds that the National Testing Agency will make all the necessary efforts to make sure that the students receive their examination centre cities as per their choice of preference they have marked in the application form. While entering the choices of examination cities along with making all the necessary changes in the JEE Main April 2020 and NEET 2020 examinations students must make sure that they pay the requisite fee online.
This is the third time that the NTA is changing the application correction dates for the JEE Main April 2020 and the NET UG 2020 examinations. The first two notifications are available on the official website of NTA.
It must also be noted that after the initial postponement of the JEE Main April 2020 and the NEET UG 2020 examinations were announced by the NTA, no new fresh dates have been released.it is expected that the schedule will be released after the lockdown is lifted.
