According to an official notification released Jawaharlal Nehru University will be allowing the fourth year PhD and M.Sc and MCA students to rejoin campus in the fifth and sixth phases of reopening from today - January 15, 2021, and February 1, 2021, respectively. The university has closed since March 2020 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and the reopening of the campuses was conducted in phases beginning from November 2020.
Officials from the university in a notification released on the website have stated that the fourth-year PhD students from all Science Schools, Special Centres and other countries who require access to laboratories will be allowed to enter campus from today.

As per the notification released the fourth-semester M.Sc and MCA students from all science schools and special centres who require access to the labs can rejoin campus from February 1, 2021, onwards as part of the sixth phase of ripening.
The university had earlier on allowed the PhD students from the Science stream under the Persons with disabilities category and the science students from other categories who require access to laboratories to return to campus from December 21, 2021, onwards. The reopening of the sports complex for walking and running purposes and the canteen of Aravali Guest House and Indian Coffee House for takeaways was also announced by the University earlier on according to the Standard Operating preventive measures issued by the government.
Keeping in mind the new infectious strain of COVID-19, the university administration has also decided to conduct testing inside the campus at regular intervals.
