MHT CET Result 2021: As per the media updates, the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra will soon announce the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) result 2021. Candidates who appeared in the exam will be able to download the MHT CET 2021 result from the official website - cetcell.mahacet.org. The authorities conducted the MHT CET 2021 exam from 20th September 20 to 1st October and 9th and 10th October. Also, MHT CET exam for the two groups - Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) and Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) - groups was conducted in multiple shifts. Therefore, the MHT CET 2021 result will be prepared in the form of raw scores and percentiles scores separately for each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) and the total.

MHT CET Result 2021 Normalization Process

To ensure everyone gets appropriate results, the scores will be normalised. The difficulty level of the MHT CET 2021 question papers administered in different shifts may not be the same. Therefore, to overcome such a situation, a normalisation method will be used for ensuring that candidates are neither benefited nor disadvantaged due to the difficulty level of the examination.

The normalised score is called percentile score. As per an official statement, the percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below (same or lower raw scores) that particular Percentile in that examination. Therefore the topper (highest score) of each session will get the same percentile of 100 which is desirable. The marks obtained in between the highest and lowest scores are also converted to appropriate percentiles.

The percentile scores for the total raw score for all the sessions as calculated using the formula mentioned below will be merged and shall be called the CET scores which will then be used for compilation of MHT CET 2021 results. MHT CET Percentile Score = 100 x (Number of candidates in exam with normalized marks ≤ the candidate) ÷ Total number of candidates in the exam.
