Mumbai University Helpline Launched: As per the latest update, Mumbai University has officially launched a helpline for students, which will help resolve their queries related to admission and examinations. Mumbai University Helpline Launched: As per the latest update, Mumbai University has officially launched a helpline for students, which will help resolve their queries related to admission and examinations. The helpline has been setup on the basis of guidelines shared by UGC earlier. According the statement issued by the university, the helpline will help students to stay in touch with the varsity and get verified and real-time updates related to examination and admission process.

Helpline Contact Details

According to a report published by Times of India, the Mumbai University has launched a telephone based as well as email-based helpline service, to ensure that it can reach out to and resolve queries of maximum number of students. Students can reach out to the helpline by dialling +91 96190 34634 and +91 93737 00797. Alternatively, they can also mail their queries to examhelpline@mu.ac.in. For students pursuing their studies with the MU Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL), the helpline can be accessed by dropping an email query to info@idol.mu.ac.in. The helpline will be active from 11 AM to 5 PM everyday.  

Launch to Help Students Get Verified Information, Avoid Fake News

The launch of a dedicated helpline for Mumbai University Students comes in response to several fake news and reports doing rounds on various social media platforms, which are trying to confuse students. To avoid such problems, students have been advised to reach out to the Mumbai University Students’ Helpline in order to resolve their queries and concerns.

Exams to be Held for Final Year Students Only

According to the decision announced by the Maharashtra Government, university level exams will be held only for the final year / semester students in the state. All the other students who are currently in their intermediate semester or year, will be promoted to the next grade without holding any exams. While the broad guidelines have been announced by the government, university is expected to announce the detailed rules for promotion policy and holding of final year exam soon.
