Taking into account the still precarious situation around the COVID-19 pandemic in the state, the state government is not taking any changes and have directed all college administrators and concerned authorities to ensure complete compliance with COVID-19 precautionary guidelines for reopening of colleges. Precautionary Measures to be Followed
Staggered Entry: In order to avoid crowding of students on campus during the college hours, the guidelines call upon college administrators to design staggered timetable or schedule of classes for students of different classes.
Respiratory Etiquettes: Everyone on campus, including students and faculty members would be required to follow good respiratory hygiene. This includes, mandatory wearing of face masks while they are on campus. In addition to this, students and teachers also have to ensure that they do not sneeze, cough without covering their face or spit in the open space.
Seating Arrangements: With social distancing guidelines still being the first line of defence against COVID-19 infection, the college authorities have been directed to design a spaced seating arrangement that ensures necessary distance between students while they are attending regular classes.
Restriction on Outside Activities: In addition to this, colleges and higher education institutions have also been asked to restrict several activities including visits of outside experts to the campus, study tours, and field visits.
