UP Board warns students, parents about Scam Calls asking Money for Passing in Board Exams

UP Board Result 2020 Scam Calls: UP Board has issued a notification warning students and parents against scam calls asking for money in return for passing the UP Board Exam Result 2020. According to the notification, UPMSP i.e. Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has warned students about ‘scam calls’ from fraudsters, claiming to the Board officials demanding money for better result in the UP Board Result 2020. UP Board said that fraudsters are trapping students and parents who feel that they can get a better result by paying a board official in the upcoming UP Board 10^th and 12^th Result 2020.

Fraudsters Provide Bank Details to Deposit Money

Many students have reported receiving such scam calls from fraudsters who claim to be Board officials and ask students for money. They also share a savings bank account number and corresponding IFSC Code, using which students are expected to pay the fraudsters for improving their marks in the UP Board Exam Results 2020. The board has categorically distanced itself from the scam and warned students and parents also to not take any such calls seriously.

Students, Parents Asked to Report Calls to Police

The UPMSP notice on this topic says that none of its employees are involved in any such scam and emphasizes that it is a punishable offence. The Board has also advised all the students and their parents to be wary of such calls and not to fall in such traps. The board has also asked parents to inform the district school inspector and police about such calls to help bring such fraudsters to justice.

Evaluation Process Halted due to COVID-19 Lockdown

As per the official datesheet released for UP Board Exams, the High School and Intermediate Exams were held in the month of February 2020. However, the evaluation of the answer sheets for UP Board Exam 2020 had to be stopped due to the national lockdown announced due to Coronavirus pandemic. Now the evaluation process is expected to start soon and result is likely to be announced only after the lockdown is lifted.
