The universities of UK in collaboration with the British Council in Delhi have launched a Film to motivate talented Indian students to study in UK. The film is aimed at creating awareness about the process of applying for higher studies in UK's leading universities.
The film features two Indian students — Arshi Aggarwal and Angesh Anupam — who are applying for student visa for higher studies in UK. The film demonstrates the student's aspirations to attend Universities in UK and that parent's trepidations for their children's well being in a foreign country. It shows all the nitty-gritty about studying and living in UK.
Produced by Indian filmmaker Ravi Lekhi, and commissioned by The University of Sheffield, the film is directed by Nicola Carslaw, a noted BBC journalist.
As per the press release, the film will help both Indian students and parents to understand the procedure of visa application for studying at the best universities in UK. Indian students and their families can access the film on YouTube and through links from the website of universities UK as well that of the partner organizations.
While sharing words about this new initiative, Nicola Dandridge, chief executive of universities UK, said that this is a great way to show many students around the world who want to study in the UK that how the process works and how it can become a reality. Prospective international students and their parents hear a lot of myths about the application process and the UK's student visa system, but through these real life examples, they get a first-hand account of how the process actually works, she added further.
