The well-known Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with one of the Pune’s primary colleges, Christ College to offer its students the internationally recognized accounting courses in the college. According to this agreement the students who are currently pursuing their regular degree courses from the college can also avail the accountancy courses provided by ACCA and finish both courses on the same time.
Together the Christ College Pune and ACCA would provide the students ACCA qualification, which is similar to the UK Master’s degree for accountancy and finance students. The students are expected to get an exposure to international qualification standards from the certifications. It would provide students a chance to go for ACCA examinations, which are based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
ACCA has a track record of creating a network of partnerships across the globe to help students getting more hands on training, for developing the accountancy segment. It has already achieved considerable success with its past alliances with Pune, and this time Christ College Pune would get benefited from their programmes. The certificate programme would certainly prepare the students of the college to prepare themselves for international standards and make them globally competent in accountancy and finance sector.
The Christ College is one of premiere institutions in Pune which is a Christian minority college affiliated under University of Pune. The college is recognized by the state government and managed by Carmel Vidya Bhavan Trust of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate congregation.
