Andaman & Nicobar Administration Hiring 09 Posts of Engine Room Rating and Others

The Directorate of Shipping Services, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Port Blair intend to prepare a panel for engagement of Deck Rating, Engine Room Rating, Cook and Utility Hand on short-term contract basis Initially for a period of 06 (Six) months.

Directorate of Shipping Services, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Port Blair intend to prepare a panel for engagement of Deck Rating, Engine Room Rating, Cook and Utility Hand on short-term contract basis Initially for a period of 06 (Six) months. The eligible and interested candidates are advised to attend the Office of the Jetty Master, Marine Dockyard, Port Blair along-with the original certificates for verification and selection process at 0900 hrs on 27 March 2017.

For the post of Deck Rating an applicant must possess Secondary School Examination Certificate from a recognized University or Board. The applicant must qualify trade test. He/ She should also have passed trade test along with Passed in Deck Rating/GP Rating and CDC with STCW 2010 Courses amended from time to time from DG (Shipping) approved Institutes.

For the post of Engine Room Rating an applicant must possess Secondary School Examination passed from a recognized Board/Institution, Must qualify Trade Test, should have Passed Engine Room Rating/GP Rating and CDC with STCW 2010 Course amended from time to time from DG (Shipping) approved Institutes.

For the post of Cook an applicant must possess Secondary School Examination passed from a recognized Board/institution, should be able to Cook variety of Indian food. Should qualify the proficiency test conducted by duly constituted selection Committee and also Passed Cook Rating/GP Rating and CDC with STCW 2010 Course amended from time to time from DG (Shipping) approved institutes.

Eligible candidates can apply for the posts through the prescribed format and appear for an interview selection test on 27 March 2017. The venue of interview will be The Office of the Jetty Master, Marine Dockyard, Port Blair.
