BSNL Notified Recruitment to 16 Posts of JTOs under West Bengal & Orissa Telecom Circles 2014

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a Government of India Enterprise invited applications for recruitment to 16 posts of Junior Telecom Officers (JTOs) (Telecom/ Civil/ Electrical) under Special Recruitment Drive (SRD) for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) in West Bengal Telecom Circle (12 JTOs) and Odisha Telecom Circle (4 JTOs). Interested candidates should send their applications to the concerned BSNL office by post so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 5 September 2014.

Pay Scale: IDA pay scale of Rs.16400-40500

1. Junior Telecom Officer (JTO) (Telecom): 10 posts

2. Junior Telecom Officer (JTO) (Civil): 01 post  

3. Junior Telecom Officer (JTO) (Electrical): 01 post

For Odisha: 4 posts

1. Junior Telecom Officer (JTO) (Telecom): 4 posts

Eligibility Criterion:

Age limit: not more than 30 years

{Upper age-limit is relax-able up to 10 years for PWD-OC, 15 years for PWD- SC/ ST and 13 years for PWD- OBC candidates} 

Educational Qualifications:  

For JTO (Telecom): Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Radio/ Computer/ Electrical/ IT (Information Technology)/ Instrumentation.

For JTO (Civil): Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Civil Engineering

For JTO (Electrical): Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination can also apply.  

Selection Procedure:  Selection of candidates will be done through Open Competitive Examination.

For 3 hours exam will have 120 OMR objective type multiple choice questions.

Choice of Examination Centre:  The examination centre will be the Circle Headquarters city of the CGM concerned i.e. Kolkata/ Bhubaneswar. 

How to Apply:  Interested and eligible candidates should send their duly filled in application form along with 4 recent colored photographs, 2 self-addressed unstamped envelopes and attested photocopies of required certificates/ documents to the concerned office by Speed post/ Registered post so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 5 September 2014.

For Orissa Telecom Circle: The DGM (HR&Admn), O/o the CGM Telecom, BSNL, Orissa Telecom Circle, Bhubaneswar-751 001.

Application can also be dropped in the box placed in ‘the Room No-113 (1st Floor) of Dy General Manager (HR& Admn), O/o the CGMT, BSNL, Odisha Circle, Bhubaneswar- 751 001.’
