• As per the student reaction and review from experts. The CBSE Class 10 Science paper 2024-25 was moderate and had direct questions. Students who prepared well and solved NCERT questions will get 60+ score in theory.
• The question paper was balanced and equal questions were asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Students failing in up to two subjects can appear for a compartment exam.

• If a student fails theory but passes practicals, practical marks will be carried forward.
• If a student fails practicals, they must retake both theory and practicals.

Students can attempt three chances for the compartment exam:

• First attempt – July/August.
• Second attempt – March/April next year.
• Third attempt – July/August of that year.

Grade Allocation: Students are ranked and graded as follows:

1. A1 – Top 1/8th of passed students
2. A2 – Next 1/8th
3. B1 – Next 1/8th
4. B2 – Next 1/8th
5. C1 – Next 1/8th
6. C2 – Next 1/8th
7. D1 – Next 1/8th
8. D2 – Next 1/8th
9. E – Failed candidates

• Minor adjustments may be made to avoid ties.
• If students have the same marks, they get the same grade.
• Grading applies when more than 500 students pass a subject.
• If fewer than 500 students pass, grading follows a similar pattern to other subjects.

The CBSE Class 10 Science question paper had total 39 questions in which 16 were MCQs, 4 were assertion-reasoning, 13 were short answer type, 3 were long answer type and 3 were case based questions.

The CBSE Class 10 Science theory paper is conducted for 80 marks. The remaining 20 marks are given based on internal assessments. Students need to score at least 33% marks (grade higher than E) in each subject to pass the Class 10 board examination.

As per the latest guidelines from CBSE the question paper will follow the below mentioned format in terms of question typology:

Students have reached exam centres. Parents and teachers are giving final words of encouragement.

The paper will have five sections and questions will be distributed as per this format:

• The will start at 10:30 AM. An additional 15 minutes will be given before the exam start time to allow students to read the question paper. No writing will be allowed in those 15 minutes.
• The answer sheets will be collected at 1:30 PM. Students who finish the exam before the time limit can leave the exam hall after the completion of first 1 hour of the exam.
