For the second year in a row, the Class 12 CBSE mathematics paper that held on Monday, left the students astounded and unhappy. They claimed the paper to be tricky and lengthy.
"The paper was very tough and tricky and probably only those were able to complete it who take extensive coaching for IIT", said a student.
Students also complained that the questions were not only tricky but also required elaborative calculations. They also said that even the one mark questions were lengthy. It was extremely difficult to finish all the questions within the time constraints.
The paper had a lot of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions.
Teachers also call it a moderate paper for average students.
According to a school teacher, it will be a bit difficult for even the good students to score 100 this year as they did not have time to revise the paper after completing it which is quite important for subjects such as Mathematics.
Parents are also worried about the result of their children as it is going to affect their future.
“The board should take cognisance of this matter and initiate corrective measure,” said a parent.
