After facing lots of criticism over the evaluation process after the declaration of CBSE Class 12 result 2017, the Central Board of Secondary Education has now decided to set up two committees to study and analyse the problems related to the evaluation process followed by the board.
The 1st committee will enquire in to the process of evaluation & post examination processes to identify and analyse discrepancies and suggest corrective measures to strengthen the process. This committee will submit the report within 2 months of its inception.
The 2nd committee will study, analyse & suggest systemic improvements in the evaluation process make the system robust. This committee will submit the report within 3 months of its formation.
Some media house recently reported discrepancies in CBSE Class 12th result 2017 after students applied for marks verification. According to the reports, the errors in CBSE Class 12 results 2017 were rectified by a very larger margin (26 marks or more), after verification.
After this controversy, CBSE released a press release and pointed out that only 0.002% such cases are observed. The board has also shared this year & previous year statistics of the students who had applied or marks verification.
