EAMCET is popularly known as Engineering, Agriculture, and medical common entrance test conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad on the behalf of APSCHE. The examination for the same is conducted in two parts. The first part comprise of candidates interested in engineering and related fields and the second review for those who are interested in Agriculture related problems or medical fields.
As far 2013 statistics are concerned, the examinations for the same were held on 10th May and according to a report by Hindu, EAMCET received the highest number of applications. 396,143 students wrote for EAMCET examination at nearly 735 Centers located in the state and among them 291,078 students were registered for Engineering stream and 105,065 from Medical stream. Around 80,000 students from Hyderabad alone had written the examination.
The questions asked in these examinations are of multiple choice types and students are supposed to choose the most suitable answer for the question asked. The test has 160 questions with 40 marks for each subject. In the state of Andhra Pradesh there are various institutes which provide coaching for the same examinations. Coaching institutes provide rigorous training to the students in order to make self -sufficient about the course.
