CMAT September 2014: Lesser registrations

CMAT September 2014 is all set to be conducted from 24th to 29th September this year. CMAT started at a very promising note but it has seen a continous decline in its registrations. Read for more on this.

AICTE is all set to conduct the first test of CMAT 2014.  The test will be conducted in September 2014 for five days from 24th September 2014 to 29th September 2014. The September 2014 test will be the first test of CMAT for admission to various management institutes across the country for the academic session 2015-16. The second test is usually conducted in February 2014 by AICTE.

CMAT exam started on a very promising note but it has seen a continous decline in the number of registrations. This year`s first CMAT test has seen approximately 50,000 registrations in spite of postponing the deadline of registrations. This questions the value of CMAT examination and also the importance of it in management admissions. CMAT has been the most sought after and second largest PGDM/MBA entrance examination after CAT.

Most of the CMAT aspirants prefer February CMAT which is the second test, as the score validity for admission to PGDM/MBA of both the exams is same. Besides September is the registration and preparation time for other important MBA/PGDM entrance tests like CAT/XAT/NMAT/IIFT/IBSAT.
