Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), India, extended the last date for applying for National Eligibility Test (NET) 2012 to 27 March 2012. The test will be conducted on 17 June 2012 to select candidates for Lecturership and Junior research Fellowship (JRF) in the field of Science.

Besides extending the last date, CSIR has revised the Educational Eligibility criteria for writing NET for JRF in the subject areas of NET to broaden the scope of NET and attract meritorious students at early stages of their career. CSIR is a premier national R&D organisation and amongst the world's largest publicly funded R&D organisation.
The other term and conditions/ Syllabus/ Scheme of Examination etc. will remain the same as notified vide our
