Department of Agriculture & Cooperation invites applications from the eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the following posts of Assistant Agricultural Marketing Adviser (Group-I) (Survey,Training and Quality Control) in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs.6600/- in Pay Band-3 in the Directorate of Marketing and Inspection, an attached office under Department on deputation (including short-term contract) basis. Educational Qualification
(i) Master’s Degree in Agriculture OR Botany OR Agricultural Economics OR Agricultural Marketing OR Economics OR Commerce with Economics from a recognized University; and
(ii) 5 years’experience in the field of Agricultural Marketing including Cooperative Marketing. OR
(iii) 3 years’experience in the field of Agricultural Marketing with diploma in Marketing Management awarded by the Indian Institute of Food Technology or equivalent or any other recognized university/Institute or equivalent.
Desirable:
Experience of organizing/conducting Market Surveys and writing reports. For In Service Applicant:
(i) Possessing following above mentioned educational qualifications and experience.
(ii) holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre/Department; OR
with five years’service in the grade after appointment thereto on regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs.8000-13500/- (pre-revised) OR equivalent in the parent cadre/Department.
Age Limit & Relaxation:
The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short-term contract) shall not be exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
Pay Scale/Emoluments:
• Pay Band PB–3 and Pay Scale of Rs.15,600/- to Rs.39,100/- plus Academic Grade Pay of Rs.6,600/- Per Month.
• The officers selected on ‘deputation’ basis will have the option to draw his grade pay plus deputation (duty) allowance or to have his pay fixed in the scale of the post in accordance with DOP&T’s OM No.2-8/97-Estt. (Pay-II) dated 11.3.1998, as amended from time to time

Selection Procedure
The short listed candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Written Test/Trade Test/Practical/Skill Test/Interviews, which might be conducted by the administration.
