DME AP Recruitment 2024:  The Directorate of Medical  Education Andhra Pradesh (DME AP) has released the notification for the recruitment of assistant professors in broad and super specialities through direct recruitment and lateral entry. 

The application has been invited for the recruitment of Assistant Professors of Broad and Super Specialities in the Government Medical Colleges and Teaching Hospitals that are directly under the control of the Directorate of Medical Education.

DME AP Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Those who are working in the Directorate of Public Health & Family Welfare or Directorate of

Secondary Health (APVVP) are eligible to apply for Assistant Professors in broad specialities working in the Directorate of Medical Education, Civil Assistant Surgeons. Check the eligibility below.

• The candidate shall be an approved probationer or should have completed the probation period in the cadre of CAS/Assistant Professor. 
• For the candidates applying under Lateral Entry, do not require SR. After selection, they will be posted as Senior Resident for a period of one year and after completion of the one-year SR ship, they will be appointed as Assistant Professor.
• The candidate should not have completed 42 years as of the date of notification, i.e.,  the candidate should be born before 01-07-1982.

DME AP Recruitment 2024: Salary

Salary will be paid as per the rules in force till the completion of the probationary period. The 7th UGC Pay scales (G.O.Ms. No. 22, HM & FW (A1) Dept., Dated 01.03.2021) will be applicable after completion of the probation period. A super speciality allowance of Rs. 30,000/- will be paid in addition to the salary.

DME AP Recruitment 2024: Selection Procedure

The selection list will be prepared on the basis of the Rule of Reservation issued in AP State and Subordinate Services. The total marks will be calculated on a scale of 100, where 75 marks are based on the marks/grade obtained in the qualifying degree. Those who are not having PG marks memo or grade, the percentage of marks will be taken as 50% (50% x 75 = 37.50).
