Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) was set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India in the year 1986 with an objective to provide human resource and technical services to the industry. The Admission notification for various courses is mentioned below. Candidates for the FDDI course will be selected on the basis of Entrance Test.

Eligibility Criteria for admission in Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI)
- Undergraduate Courses: 10+2 in any stream (Students appearing for 10+2 may also apply)
- Postgraduate Courses: Graduation or equivalent degree in any stream (Students appearing for final year exams may also apply)
Selection Procedure for admission in Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI)
FDDI entrance test will be of 2.5 hours (Two and half hours) duration and would be conducted in English/ Hindi language. There would be a total of 150 objective type questions. Multiple choices for these questions will be available and candidates are required to choose the right answer.
The entrance test would be conducted through a computer based online mode. In this each candidate would be provided with a computer and individually allocated User-ID and Password. Using the allocated User-ID and Password, the candidate would be able to access the test paper.
The short listed candidates would be communicated about their test centre,session and test time detailsindividually through admit card. It is mandatory for the candidates to bring their Admit Card (with photograph) to the allocated test centers along with any other valid identity proof document such as Voter's ID card, Passport, Driving License, identity card issued by previous institution etc.

Candidates seeking admission to any Programmes at FDDI during the academic session 2012-2013 may obtain the prescribed Application Form along with the Prospectus from FDDI Campus at NOIDA, Rai Bareilly & Chennai. Application Fee: The application fee for all category candidates is Rs 500.
The prospectus can also be procured from branches of Axis Bank across India OR by sending a Demand Draft of Rs 500 (Rupees Five Hundred only) in favour of ‘FDDI' payable at New Delhi to FDDI, NOIDA and it will be sent through courier. Do not forget to mention the complete address at the back of the DD also.
