The HDFC Scholarship provides financial support to meritorious, underprivileged students from Class 1 to postgraduate level. HDFC Bank Parivartan Scholarship: HDFC Bank conducts the Educational Crisis Scholarship Support (ECSS) Programme, which aims at providing the scholarship support to meritorious and needy students belonging to underprivileged sections of society. The HDFC scholarship scheme is designed to provide support to school students from Class 1 to 12 and those pursuing diploma, ITI, polytechnic, UG and PG (general and professional) programs.

The HDFC scholarship scheme provides support of up to Rs 75,000 for their studies to the meritorious and needy students belonging to the underprivileged sections of society.

HDFC Bank Parivartan Scholarship

There are three sections to the HDFC Bank Parivartan: one for postgraduate students, one for undergraduate students, and one for school students. The programs are called the HDFC Bank Parivartan's Merit-cum-Need Based ECSS Programme for Postgraduate Students. HDFC Bank Parivartan's ECSS Programme for Undergraduate Students (Merit-cum-Need Based) and HDFC Bank Parivartan's ECSS Programme for School Students (Merit-cum-Need Based) 2024-25. To be eligible for the scheme, the student should be 

  • Indian National
  • Must have scored 55% of marks in the previous qualifying examination.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than 2.5 lakh.

HDFC Bank Parivartan's ECSS Programme for Postgraduate Students (Merit-cum-Need Based)

HDFC Bank's postgraduate program is for students who are currently studying in the general courses such as MCom, MA, etc. and professional courses (MTech, MBA, etc.) at any recognised colleges or universities in India. 

Benefits: The general postgraduate course students will get the benefit of Rs 35000, and the professional postgraduate course students will get the benefit of Rs 75000.

HDFC Bank Parivartan's ECSS Programme for Udergraduate Students (Merit-cum-Need Based)

HDFC Bank's undergraduate program is for students who are currently studying in general courses such as BCom, BSc, BA, BCA, etc. and professional courses (BTech, MBBS, LLB, B Arch, Nursing) in recognised colleges or universities in India.

Benefits: The general graduation course students will get the benefit of Rs 30000, and the professional graduation course students will get the benefit of Rs 50000.

HDFC Bank Parivartan's ECSS Programme for School Students (Merit-cum-Need Based)

HDFC Bank's undergraduate program is for students who are currently studying in Classes 1 to 12, diploma, ITI, and polytechnic courses in private, government, or government-aided schools. For  diploma students, only students pursuing it after Class 12 are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Benefits:  The students studying in Classes 1 to 6 will receive Rs 15000 and for students studying in Classes 7 to 12, Diploma, ITI, and Polytechnic will receive Rs 18000.

Documents Required for HDFC Scholarship

While applying for the HDFC scholarship, students need all the documents to upload. The list of documents required a passport-size photograph, previous year marksheets, identity proof, current year admission proof, etc. Students can check the list of documents below.

  • Passport size photograph
  • Previous year's marksheets (2023-24)
  • Identity proof (Aadhaar Card, voter ID, driving license)
  • Current year admission proof (Fee Receipt/Admission Letter/Institution ID Card/Bonafide Certificate) (2024-25)
  • Applicant Bank Passbook/Cancelled Cheque (Information will also be captured in the application form.)
  • Income Proof (any of the three proofs given below)
  • Income proof issued by Gram Panchayat/Ward Counsellor/Sarpanch
  • Income proof issued by SDM/DM/CO/Tehsildar
  • Affidavit
  • Proof of family/personal crisis (if applicable)

  • Read all terms and conditions and register yourself with the email/mobile/Gmail account.
  • You will now be redirected to the ‘HDFC Bank Parivartan’s ECSS Scholarship Programme 2024-25’ application form page.
  • Click on the ‘Start Application’ button to begin the application process.
  • Fill in the required details in the online application form.
  • Upload relevant documents
  • Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and click on ‘Preview’.
  • If all the details filled in the application are correctly showing on the preview screen, click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the application process.

Selection Procedure of HDFC Scholarship

The selection process of HDFC Bank Parivartan’s ECSS Programme is a multi-stage process where students are selected based on merit and their financial need or personal/family crisis.

As per the official website of HDFC, the number of students who are getting the scholarship is increasing every year since 2019. It has given the scholarships to 16000+ students, whereas in the year 2019-20, 1198 students got the scholarship. In the year 2020-21, 3097 students got the scholarship. In the years 2022-23 and 2023-24, 4292 and 7684 students, respectively, got the scholarship.
