How to Register for CAT 2016

Finally, the registration window for CAT 2016 is open for the aspirants. You can now easily register yourself through online mode. All you need to do is follow the steps demonstrated for you in the screenshots to navigate through the process of registration in an easy and smooth manner.

Step 1: Visit official website of CAT 2016 to register yourself for the CAT 2016. When you will open the link the window given below will appear. If you are registering yourself for the first time then click on “Register Now”

Step 2: (a) As and when you will click on the “REGISTER NOW” button, the given below window will appear. Read the instructions carefully before proceeding to fill the form

(b) After reading the instructions, on the same page, fill in your personal details such as Name, Phone number and valid E-mail address. The User ID and Password for further communication will be sent to you for further correspondence on your active phone number and valid e-mail i.d. only.

(c) Finally, after you have filled in the details, fill in the text given in the capcha and then click on “I Agree” option. Thereafter, Submit your form.

Step 3: After submitting the form, another window will appear mentioning your details. The application details are mentioned as under.

Step 4: After you have filled in the initial details, another window will appear which will show 5 tabs. In the first tab you need to fill your personal details.

Step 5: When you will be filling the details pertaining to “academics” make sure that you do not skip any of the encircled detail highlighted in the screenshots.

Step 6: While filling the details pertaining to the Prgrammes, CAT 2016 gives you an option to select the programme along with the venue of the interview. So while selecting the programme, carefully choose the venue at which you will be able to make yourself available conveniently.

Step 7: Finally, after filling all the details, go to the 5^th tab which is about making payment for the CAT 2016 Application form. Make payment of Rs. 1700/- via any of the modes mentioned in the CAT window. The additional charges which are applicable on the application form for various modes are mentioned for maintaining transparency. Read them carefully before you make payment.

Step 8: You can preview you application before finally submitting the form. Preview of the form will help you scan in case you filled any wrong detail. You will have the chance to correct the wrongly entered information.
