Vacancy Details

Total vacancies: 6 posts

1. Fellow: one post (on temporary basis)

Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs.15600- 39100 with Grade pay of Rs.5400 per month

Maximum Age limit: 35 years

Qualification: Master's degree in Geophysics/ Applied Geophysics/ Exploration Geophysics/ Geology with minimum Research experience of atleast 3 years in the broad area of Seismology with emphasis on solid earth structure studies.

2. Senior Technical Assistant: one post

Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs.9300- 34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200 per month

Maximum Age limit: 35 years

Qualification: Master's degree in Physics/ Geophysics/ Geology with minimum 2 years experience of working in the relevant field.

3. Superintendent: one post

Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs.9300- 34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200 per month

Maximum Age limit: 35 years

Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce with 5 years experience in administration and related work. Law graduates would be preferred.

4. Upper Division Clerk: one post

Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs.5200- 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2400 per month

Maximum Age limit: 27 years

Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce with two years experience in administration and related work and Knowledge of computer operation.

5. Stenographer (Grade III): one post

Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs.5200- 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2400 per month

Maximum Age limit: 27 years

Qualification: SSC with minimum shorthand speed of 80 w.p.m. and typing speed of 40 w.p.m.

6. Lower Division Clerk: one post

Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs.5200- 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1900 per month

Maximum Age limit: 32 years

Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent with knowledge of computer operation and a minimum typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English/ Hindi.
