Another year in line, when Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) took the decision to increase the fees for the post-graduate programme in management (PGDM) by at least 4.3%. After this fee hike, IIM-A aspirants will have to pay Rs. 23 lakhs for seeking admission in the batch of 2019-21.
IIM Ahmedabad - the premier B-school of India has hiked the fee of its PGP programme last year as well. The fee of its flagship post-graduate program for 2018-20 was raised to Rs. 22 lakh from Rs. 21 lakh.
In the year 2019 also, the institute has raised the academic programme fee by Rs 1 lakhs which takes the total fee amount for the flagship MBA programme from Rs 22 lakhs last year to Rs 23 lakhs for the admission seekers. The fee hike would have some implications over the students who plan to join the IIM Ahmedabad's PGP in Management and PGP Food and Agribusiness Management (PGP-FABM).
However, considering the pay packages and placements opportunities which are offered by the recruiters to the candidates pursuing PGP from the institute, the return of investment is high and generally doesn't affect an aspirant's decision to take admission in the ivy-league MBA institute.
