Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - 01 Post

Eligibility Criteria for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Educational/Technical Qualification and Experience:

• Candidates interested in Theoretical Chemistry/physics, with M.Sc. in Chemistry or Physics or Mathematics with minimum 55% marks in M.Sc. Candidates who have  qualified  NET/GATE will be preferred. Non-NET candidate may only get fellowship according to DST norms.
• Candidates should have a strong theoretical background (with knowledge on quantum mechanics/chemistry) and would be expected to carry out theoretical development on Density Functional Theory (DFT).
• Exposure to Linux and computer programming will be an advantage.

Selection Procedure for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Shortlisted candidates shall be called (via email) for an oral interview at IISER Kolkata, Mohanpur Campus.
