Eligibility Criteria for IIT Madras Junior Technical Superintendent, Security Guard & Other Posts:

Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:

• Deputy Registrar: Postgraduate degree or its equivalent with 5 years relevant experience.
• Assistant Registrar: Postgraduate degree or its equivalent with excellent Academic record.
• Assistant Executive Engineer: B.E/B.Tech (Civil) with 8 years experience OR M.E/M.Tech (Civil) with 5 years experience in relevant area.
• Technical Officer: B.E/B.Tech/MSc with 8 years experience in relevant area OR M.E/M.Tech with 5 years experience in relevant area.
• Deputy Librarian: Master degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation and a consistently good academic record with 8 years experience as an Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian and Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work and professional commitment.
• Assistant Security Officer: Graduate and Military/Police or NCC & Fire Fighting training with 6 years experience.
• Junior Superintendent: Bachelor degree in Arts, Science or Humanities including Commerce with 6 years experience in relevant administrative area.
• Junior Technical Superintendent: BE/B.Tech/MSc/MCA with 5 years experience in relevant area.
• Junior Technical Superintendent (Library): Graduate with Bachelor of Library Science or Master of Library Science or equivalent Diploma in Library Science and 6 years relevant library experience.
• Junior Technician: Diploma in Engineering/Bachelor degree in Arts/Science or Post SSLC with 2 year ITI course and two year relevant experience.
• Security Guard: SSLC with high physical fitness.

Age Limit:

• Deputy Registrar: Not exceeding 50 years
• Assistant Registrar: Not exceeding 45 years
• Assistant Executive Engineer: Not exceeding 45 years
• Technical Officer: Not exceeding 45 years
• Deputy Librarian: Not exceeding 50 years
• Assistant Security Officer: Not exceeding 32 years
• Junior Superintendent: Not exceeding 32 years
• Junior Technical Superintendent: Not exceeding 32 years
• Junior Technical Superintendent (Library): Not exceeding 32 years
• Junior Technician: Not exceeding 27 years
