Indian Army Notified Recruitment for Short Service Commission in Remount Veterinary Corps 2014

Indian Army invited applications from qualified male Veterinary graduates for Short Service Commission (SSC) in Remount Veterinary Corps. Interested male candidates should send their applications to the office of DGRVS (RV-1) by ordinary post so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 1 September 2014 (1700 hours).

Name of the Post: Short Service Commission in Remount Veterinary Corps

Age Limit: 

Minimum: 21 years

Maximum: 32 years

Educational Qualification: B.V.Sc/ B.V.Sc. & AH Degree or equivalent (i.e. recognized veterinary qualification included in the first or second schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984).

Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates would be done through a two-stage selection process including SSB Interview.

Only shortlisted candidates will be asked to appear before the Service Selection Board on a specified date for the two-stage: Stage-I and Stage-II -- selection process.

Candidates qualifying the Stage-I will be allowed to appear for Stage-II -- Group Test, Psychological Test and Interview which will extend for duration of 5 days.

Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be inducted for training in the order of merit. The Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates at SSB’s.

Selected candidate will be commissioned in the rank of Captain and would serve the Indian Army for a period of five years.

Pay Scale: Officers commissioned as Captain would be entitled to a basic pay of Rs.15600, Grade Pay of Rs.6100, Military Service Pay of Rs.6000, and other admissible allowances including Non- Practice Allowance (NPA).

How to Apply: Interested and eligible male candidates should send their applications, in the prescribed format, along with attested copies of required certificates/ mark sheets/ documents, self-attested photograph and two self addressed stamped envelopes by ordinary post to ‘The Directorate General Remount Veterinary Services (RV-1)QMG’s Branch, Integrated Headquarters of MoD (Army), West Block 3, Ground Floor, Wing No-4, RK Puram, New Delhi – 110 066’ so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 1 September 2014 (1700 hours).

On the envelope carrying the application, candidates should super-scribe in red ink “Application for Short Service Commission in RVC”.
