Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) issued notification inviting applications for recruitment to three posts – one post of Scientist-D (Medical) with National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research (NCDIR), Bangalore; one post of Technician-A with Regional Medical Research Centre for Tribals (RMRCT), Jabalpur; and one post of Scientist ‘C’ with Genetic Research Centre (GRC), Mumbai. Pay Scale: Pay Band-3 of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600
Vacancy with: NCDIR, Bangalore
Maximum Age limit: 45 years.
[Maximum age limit is relax-able up to 5 years for Government servants and SC/ST candidates and up to 3 years for OBC candidates]
Essential Qualification & Experience required: MBBS degree with 8 years R&D/teaching experience in Medicine/Surgery/P&SM, Pathology/
Radiotherapy/Biochemistry/ Pharmacology/related medical subjects of which at least 2 yearexperience should be in a managerial position.
NOTE: Candidates with MD degree will be preferred. MD degree in relevant subjects will be treated equivalent to three year experience.
2. Technician-A: 1 post
Pay Scale: Pay Band-1 of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade pay of Rs.1900
Vacancy with: RMRCT, Jabalpur
Maximum Age limit: 28 years (as on 17 May 2014).

Essential Qualification & Experience required: (10+2) with Science subjects or equivalent with one year Certificate in laboratory related work.
Knowledge of computer applications and additional laboratory/research field experience is desirable.
3. Scientist ‘C’: 1 post
Pay Scale: Pay Band-3 of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.6600
Vacancy with: GRC, Mumbai
Maximum Age limit: 40 years.

Essential Qualification & Experience required: MBBS/M.V.Sc. degree with 4 year experience in Genetics/related subjects OR Master’s Degree in Genetics/ Life Sciences/ equivalent degree with 4 year R&D experience in relevant subject OR M.Sc. in Genetics/ Life Sciences/ related subject with Ph.D. degree in Genetics and 4 year R&D experience in bio-medical subject.
NOTE: Candidates with MD degree will be preferred.MD degree in relevant subjects will be treated equivalent to three year experience.
Selection Procedure
For Scientist-D (Medical) with NCDIR, Bangalore: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the personal discussion/interview. Only short-listed candidate will be called for the personal discussion/interview and they will have the option to answer in Hindi also.

Travel Allowance: Candidates called for interview will be paid 1st class rail fare by the shortest route on production of documents.
For Technician-A with RMRCT, Jabalpur: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the test/interview. Only short-listed candidate will be called for the test/ interview. They will have to produce Original copies of certificates at the time of test/interview.
For Scientist ‘C’ with GRC, Mumbai: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the personal discussion/interview. Only short-listed candidate will be called for the personal discussion/interview and they will have the option to answer in Hindi also.

After submitting the online application form, candidates should take its print-out and send it along with fee IPO in original and attested copies of required certificates/documents and recent passport size photo to ‘TheDirector, National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research, Nirmal Bhawan-ICMR Complex (II Floor), Poojanahalli, Off NH-7, Adjacent to Trumpet Flyover of BIAL, Kanna mangala Post, Bangalore – 562 110 (INDIA)’ so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 26 May 2014.
