Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi invites applications from eligible candidates who fulfilling the requisite criteria for filling up the following posts of “Associate Professor and Assistant Professor”. The candidates eligible for the post may apply on or before 27 June 2014.

Educational Qualification/ Experience
- For Post 1
(i) Good academic record with a Ph.D Degree / Fellowship in Management/ Marketing or allied disciplines and 55% of the marks, at the Master’s Degree level.
(ii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in a regular position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University/ College.
(iii) MBA/PGDM/Master’s Degree in Mass Communication/Communication Management or related areas with at least 55% marks from an IIM/ equivalent institute.
(iv) 12 years’ experience in an Advertising Agency/Corporate Sector Organization.
- For Post 2
(i) Good academic record with a Ph.D Degree in Media Studies/ Communication/ Journalism/ Social Science or related areas and 55% of the marks, at the Master’s Degree level.
(ii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in a regular position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University/ College.
- For Post 3
(i) Good academic record with 55% of the marks, at the Master’s Degree level in Mass Communication/ Journalism or related areas from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from foreign University.
(ii) Should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) or similar test accredited by the UGC.
(iii) Five years’ work experience in the following areas of Mass Communication (Hindi Language Newspaper/ magazines).

Age Limit
Age Limit for the candidate should be below 45 years for Associate Professor and below 40 years for Assistant Professor as on 31 December 2014 and Relaxation as per Govt. rules.
Pay Scale/ Salary
- Pay Band is PB – 4 and Pay Scale of Rs. 37,400/- to Rs. 67,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 9,000/- Per Month (for post 1 & 2).
- Pay Band is PB – 3 and Pay Scale of Rs. 15,600/- to Rs. 39,100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,000/- Per Month (for post 3).
Application Fee
Application Fee (Non- refundable) of Rs. 200/- (Two Hundred only) in the form of crossed Demand Draft in favour of “IIMC”, payable at New Delhi.
Selection Procedure
The short listed candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Written Test followed with the Interview, which will be conducted by the administration.
