Situated in Maharashtra, Jawaharlal Nehru Port was inaugurated by the late Prime Minister of India Shri Rajiv Gandhi in the year 1989. The port is run by the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust; an organisation entrusted with the operations of the large shipping port in Navi Mumbai, India and controlled by the Central Government of India. It invites applications from eligible candidates for filling up the post of Pilot.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Must hold a certificate of competency as Master of Foreign going ship issued by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India.
Experience Required (as on 1 August 2011): One year post qualification experience as master/ Chief Officer of a foreign going ship.
Age Limit (as on 1 August 2011): Maximum 40 years
Pay Scale: Rs 32,900- 58,000 + other allowances as per rules
Selection Procedure: The selection procedure will comprise of initial screening of application followed by an interview. The date, time, and venue of the interview will be intimated to the shortlisted/ eligible candidates.
