JEE MAIN-2015: Paper Pattern and Syllabus

Exam Paper Pattern:
Paper-1 (B.E/B.Tech courses):
This paper will be conducted in both offline (Pen & Paper based) and online modes.
The duration of the paper will be of three (3) hours.
The questions will be of objective type with equal number of questions (30 each) in each subject.
For all the questions out of the four questions only one will be correct.
For each incorrectly marked response, one fourth (1/4) of the total marks allotted to the question would be deducted. Leaving a question blank or unmarked will mean no deduction of marks.

Paper-2 (B.Arch/B.Planning):
This paper will be conducted in offline (Pen & Paper based) modes only.
The duration of the paper will be of three (3) hours.
Part-I: Mathematics - objective type questions
Part-II: Aptitude Test - objective type questions
Part-III: Drawing Test - for testing drawing aptitude

* The option of date for Computer Based Examination for Paper – 1 should be exercised while filling up the application form. The allotment of slots/dates will be on first come first served basis. If a candidate does not make any selection, he/she shall be randomly assigned a slot/date as per the availability of the same. The Computer Based Examination for Paper – 1 in Colombo, Kathmandu, Singapore, Bahrain, Dubai, Muscat, Riyadh and Sharjah will be held only on 11/04/2015.
In case a candidate, by furnishing the false information, appears in more than one slots/dates of the computer based examination or appears in both the modes of examination i.e. pen & paper based and computer based examination, his candidature will be cancelled and his result will not be declared.
