UPSC Exam: Answering all 15 questions right at India's most popular game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati was not an easy nut to crack, but Ravi Mohan Saini succeeded in winning the prize amount of INR 1 Crore in that epic game show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan at an age of 14. 

Now, this KBC winner is solving crimes after cracking the toughest exam of India, UPSC Civil Services, becoming an Indian Police Services (IPS) Officer.

UPSC 2022: IPS Ravi Mohan Saini- Life Journey

  1. Ravi became a Crorepati at the age of 14 when he won Kuan Banega Crorepati Junior in 2001. 
  2. He then went on to prepare for Medical College exams and succeeded in becoming a doctor as well. 
  3. Ravi graduated with MBBS from Mahatma Gandhi Medical College in Jaipur. His father worked in the Indian Navy and is said to have a deep impression upon him. 
  4. Ravi, while pursuing his medical internship in 2012, cleared his UPSC Exam for the first time but could not clear Mains that year. 
  5. He cleared the exam in 2013 but got the post in Indian Post and Telecom, Accounts and Finance Services. 
  6. He reappeared in 2014 and finally succeeded in securing the All India Rank of 461 and becoming an IPS officer thereafter. He is currently posted in Porbandar, Gujarat.

IPS Ravi Mohan Saini: Early Days and Family

While Ravi was appearing for KBC, he was 14, and his father was posted in Indian Navy services in Vishakhapatnam. Ravi was a studious child since the beginning and has been schooled in Navy Public School.

Ravi Mohan Saini is the son of the retired honorary lieutenant Mohanlal Saini, who was a naval officer. 

Ravi’s mother, Sushila Devi, is a housewife and his elder brother, Sashi Mohan Saini, is a software engineer. 

He has a sister named Shama, who is a teacher in Alwar.

Ravi has been an inspiration to many young minds of India and would always be.
