Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Commenced from Monday Onwards

Feb 10, 2016 17:36 IST

From Monday onwards the admission procedure for Kendriya Vidyalaya has begun. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has started to issue forms for admission for Class I. The last date of registration is 10 March 2016 for this academic session. Almost 10,000 seats in the various Kendriya Vidyalayas around the country are up for grabs for the standard one.  The list of selected students for the Class I will be declared on 18 March 2016 by the Sangathan.

Those students and parents who are looking for getting their child admitted in class II and higher classes would get forms for registration from April 4 to 18. After declaration of the Class X results, the registration for Class XI will also begin immediately. Within 30 days after the declaration of the CBSE results, the class XI admissions are scheduled to take place until it achieves the full strength.

To many people’s confusion it is often regarded that the admission to Kendriya Vidyalayas are open only for the central government employee kids and their associates. But it is a common misconception among the parents. Anyone can apply for admission in any of the classes in the Kendriya Vidyalaya. The central government employees are given certain priorities in different category, which regulate the admission, but don’t allow them to have admission rights. The parents who are keen on admitting their children to the Kendriya Vidyalayas need to take up registration form and fill them before the last date to be eligible for the admission tests and interviews.
