The Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd., (MahaTransco) is the State Transmission utility of Maharashtra and one of the largest transmission utilities in the State operating about 39763 CKT KM transmission lines, 560 EHV Sub-Stations and having transformation capacity of 91444 MV. Eligibility Criteria for Recruitment in MahaTransco 2012
Educational Qualification
- Lower Division Clerk: BCom+ MS-CIT from an Institute recognized by the Government of Maharashtra or equivalent
- Steno Typist (English): SSC or its equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates having a Degree. Candidate should have a minimum speed of 80 wpm in Shorthand and 40 wpm in Typing + MS-CIT from an Institute recognized by the Government of Maharashtra or equivalent+ 2 years experience (No experience for candidates having Govt. Commercial Certificates)
- Secretary-cum-Steno: Graduation. Candidate should have a minimum speed of 100 wpm in Shorthand (English/ Marathi) and 50 wpm in English Typing (30 for Marathi) + MS-CIT from an Institute recognized by the Government of Maharashtra or equivalent+ 5 years experience
Age Limit (as on 18 July 2012): Minimum 18 years; Maximum 33 years

Application Fee: Application fee for General category candidate is Rs 400, fee for SC/ ST/ BC candidate is Rs 200 and no fee will be charged from PWD candidates for whom the seat is reserved. Apart from above-mentioned fees, candidates will have to pay Rs 50 as service charges to SBI. However Service Charges of Rs 50 are not applicable to particular category of PH person for whom the post is reserved.
The application fees needs to be paid in the form of Fee Payment Challan duly filled in and pay in Cash the appropriate Application Fee in Account No 31698939603 with any Branch of SBI in favour of "Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company, Ltd. Mumbai".
Obtain the counterfoil (Applicant's Copy) of the Fee Payment Challan duly received by the Bank with (a) Branch Name & Code Number (b) Transaction ID/Journal No (c) Date of Deposit & Amount filled by the Branch Official.
