Answer: Yes, a candidate can begin his/her application process before final result. For courses where admissions are based on your scores, candidates need to submit their scores for the qualifying examination on or before the respective last date. For other courses, candidates need to submit only the proof of passing their qualifying examination at the time of counselling/admission.

Answer: If the courses a candidate opted for fall in the same group, then only one application form is needed. However, if a candidate opts for courses in different groups, then he/she will need to fill separate applications.

Question: What is a merit-cum-means scholarship?
Answer: Candidates qualifying for the MBBS course within the first 500, and BDS, BPharm, BTech courses within the first 1000 are eligible for a merit-cum-means scholarship. Eligibility is also determined by parents’ annual income, so not all students who qualify in the top ranks can get this scholarship. If candidate has made an application for a scholarship, he/she will know whether it has been granted or not at the time of counselling.

Question: What is a computer-based online entrance test? What skills are required for this?
Answer: It is a simple test, and all a candidate need to know is how to use a keyboard and a mouse. In the online entrance test, answers to the questions are made on a computer.

Answer: No, there is no negative marking in the online entrance test except when a candidate apply for M. Tech. courses.

Question: If a candidate is unable to travel for counselling. What should he/she do?
Answer: In such a case, admission formalities can be done by an authorized representative carrying proper authorization documents, like the parents or even a friend. Fees and original documents are required for completing admission formalities.

Answer: MU is a residential institute and all students who are admitted are accommodated in hostels.

Answer: Original documents will be retained by the University until the completion of your course. An acknowledgement will be given to the candidates for their original documents.

Answer: No, it is not mandatory for the parents to be with a student for the counselling.
Question: Is it compulsory for a first-year student to avail of the hostel accommodation?
Answer: It is compulsory for a first-year student to live in a hostel. In exceptional cases, however, permission may be granted by the Dean or Director to stay out of the hostel.
Question: If the counselling of a candidate at MU coincides with a counselling at another college. Where the original documents should be given?
Answer: If a candidate is required to appear for counselling at another college at the same time as at MU, he/she need to bring some proof of the counselling at the other college along with the photocopies of the required documents you need for your MU counselling, like mark sheets etc.
