Modifications to the NEET 2025 Exam Structure

This is a summary of the modifications made to the NEET test format and structure in 2025, which returned to the format and structure of the previous cycle.

  • The 20 optional questions have been eliminated, making all 180 questions mandatory.
  • The exam used to last 200 minutes (3 hours and 20 minutes), but now it only lasts 180 minutes (3 hours).
  • The old divide into portion A and Section B with optional questions has been removed, leaving each subject with a single portion of 45 required questions.
