The analysis of NMAT by GMAC exam is done right after the exam is held.  NMAT by GMAC 2018 exam was held from January 30 to February 8, 2018. From 2010 onwards, the NMAT by GMAC exam was held in online mode; earlier the exam was conducted in paper-pen mode. The NMAT by GMAC 2010 exam analysis was done in order to help candidates who appeared for the exam to understand the difficulty level of NMAT by GMAC, whether the exam was easy or difficult to attempt.

About NMAT by GMAC

NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT by GMAC) is a national level entrance exam conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) for admission into participating institutes  including Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). It is a computer-based entrance exam hed in 75-days window. The NMAT by GMAC exam is conducted across 44 cities in India and 4 international centres.

1. The paper was of easy to moderate level type.

2. No negative marking.

3. Candidates had the option to take 3 attempts in a year and the best score of all three would be considered for the admissions.

Analysis of NMAT by GMAC exam: DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF SECTIONAL OVERVIEW:

SECTION-I: QUANTITATIVE ABILITY -

1) The level was moderate.

2) There were three sets of Data Interpretation.

3) The topics covered were as under:

  1. Pie chart
  2. Bar graph
  3. Line graph
  4. Data sufficiency
  5. Averages
  6. Mixture
  7. Percentage
  8. Profit and Loss
  9. Time and work
  10. Speed, distance & time
  11. Geometry
  12. Quadratic Equation
  13. Simple interest
  14. Compound interest

SECTION-II: VERBAL ABILITY -

1) This section was easy, if taken as a whole.

2) This year this particular section just required a proper knowledge of English Grammar to do well and score high.

3) The various topics covered under this section were:

  1. Para jumbles
  2. Cloze tests
  3. Fill in the blanks
  4. Synonyms
  5. Antonyms
  6. Analogies
  7. English usage

4)  Besides there were 2 reading comprehension passages & both contained 4 questions each.

SECTION-III: LOGICAL REASONING -

1) This section was a bit tough but that too in comparison to the other two sections or otherwise if compared to previous year’s Logical Reasoning paper, it was moderate.

2) It had basic logical reasoning sets.

  5. Venn diagrams

  7. Matrix

NMAT by GMAC 2010 Exam ANALYSIS SUMMARY:

The NMAT by GMAC 2010 was different compared to last year though easy in comparison to last year’s paper. Speed was the key to score more as accuracy was not an issue for such an easy paper. The cut off was obviously on the higher side looking at the fact that the paper was easy.
