NMAT by GMAC exam pattern is an important aspect for the candidates preparing to appear for the NMAT MBA Entrance exam. Cracking NMAT by GMAC exam is one milestone which you can achieve if you have gained a sound understanding of the exam pattern. From no. of questions, marking scheme, time limit/duration of exam, type of questions, and what not, everything is important to understand when preparing for MBA entrance exam. It is because the competition to make it to the top MBA institute such as Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, SPJIMR - Mumbai, TAPMI among others is high.

This year, the NMAT by GMAC registrations commenced from 2nd July and shall remain open till 3rd October. The late registration window, as per the schedule, begins from 4th October and will continue till 14th October. Candidates can appear for the exam from 4th October and the exam window shall remain open till 17th December. The 75 day exam window and the time that you have in-hand to prepare for the exam is a golden opportunity to make it to the top B-schools of India.

About NMAT Exam Pattern

NMAT Exam tests the aptitude of aspirants through 120 MCQ based questions (from 3 sections i.e. Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning) that are expected to be solved within 120 minutes.

NMAT Test Window Advantage

Exam takers competing for a seat in Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) shall also make a note that NMAT exam can be taken 3 times in the test window that begins from October 4, 2019, onwards and ends on December 17, 2019. The test takers are given the discretion to share their best score among the three chances attempted. The best score is considered as the final score for seeking admission in the NMIMS affiliated colleges. It should also be noted that for every additional attempt, candidates are supposed submit additional fees as well.

Like CAT exam, NMAT by GMAC exam takers will also have to face the test of sectional time limit while attempting the NMAT test. Each section is individually timed and you would be required to attempt the questions within the assigned time limit. Marking Scheme in NMAT exam

Unlike other MBA entrance exams in which negative marking pulls down the percentile scores of candidates, NMAT doesn’t carry any negative marking. Aspirants don’t have to face the wrath of negative marking if they choose wrong options. 1 mark is rewarded for choosing correct options while no mark is deducted if you attempt a wrong option.

Exam Submission Guidelines

As the exam is conducted in online mode, test takers must review their answers before submitting the final test. After submitting the test, you will not be allowed to make further changes in the test.
