Northeast Frontier Railway Notified Recruitment for 2018 Group D Vacancies

Railway recruitment cell, Northeast Frontier Railway (RRC/NFR) invited application for recruitment of 2018 staff in Pay Band-1 of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1800.

                      07 December 2012 (1730 Hrs) (For residents of Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep islands)

Name of the Post: Group D in Pay Band-1 of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1800.

Number of Vacancies: 2018

Educational Qualification: Class 10th or ITI or equivalent from a recognized educational institution or Board.

Age Limit: Minimum: 18 years
                Maximum: 33 years (as on 01 January 2013)

Examination Fee:

A non-refundable examination fee of Rs.40 has to be paid via crossed IPO from any Post Office drawn in favour of “FA & CAO, N.F. Railway” and payable at GPO, Guwahati.

(SC/ST, persons with Disabilities (PWD), women, minority candidates (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists & Zorastrians [Parsis]) and candidates belonging to economically backward classes (with family income < Rs.50,000/- p.a.) need not pay this fee.)

Pay Scale: PB-I Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with GP Rs. 1800

How to Apply:  Application, in prescribed format, along with required documents should be sent by ordinary post to the “Deputy

Chief Personnel Officer, Railway Recruitment Cell, N.F Railway, Station Colony, Guwahati, Assam 781001” or dropped into the Application Drop Box available at the office by 23 November 2012 (1730 hrs).

The envelope containing the application should be clearly super scribed: “Application for Gr. D posts, Northeast Frontier Railway.”

PH candidates should also mention “PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED CANDIDATE” at the top right of the envelope.

Mode Of Selection: The recruitment procedure consists of Written Examination followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET),Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility conditions will be called for the written test.

Those who qualify the written test will be called for a Physical Efficiency Test (PET).  Passing the PET is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. Only those candidates who qualify in the PET will be called for Document Verification (DV) as per merit. PWD candidates are exempted from appearing for PET.

Post Document Verification, a medical examination will be done for those candidates who clear the DV. Clearing the medical examination is mandatory.
Only those candidates who clear the medical examination successfully will be included in the final merit list to the extent of vacancies available.

Note:

• Vacancy indicated does not include those for ex-servicemen. Notification for recruitment of ex-servicemen will be issued separately.

• Each candidate should send only one application. Candidates submitting multiple applications will not be considered.  Even if such a candidate gets selected inadvertently, he/she will not be offered appointment later on.

• Candidates who have been debarred from appearing in any of the Railway Recruitment Board/Railway Recruitment Cell Examination need not apply unless their debar period expires.

• Date and time of examination will be fixed based on administrative feasibility. No request of change of time, date or center of examination will be entertained on any account.
