Ordnance Equipment Factory, Kanpur, under Ministry of Defence, Government of India issued notification inviting online applications for filling up 205 Group ‘C’ posts of Welder, Carpenter, Fitter, Machinist, Electrician and other posts in the semi-skilled grade. Interested candidates should apply online through the factory’s website www.oefkanpur.gov.in within 21 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News i.e. till 21 March 2014 as the advertisement was published in the employment news dated 22 February 2014. Candidates should send the hard copy of the online submitted application with required enclosures by post to the OEF office within 7 days from the last date to apply online i.e. till 28 March 2014 (1700 hours)

Age Limit: (as on closing date of Online Application)
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 32 years.
[Upper age limit is relax-able up to the period of Trade Apprenticeship for Ex-Trade Apprentices of the Ordnance Factories, Up to 5 years for SC/ST category candidates and Up to 3 years for OBC category candidates.]
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent qualification with NAC/ NTC in the relevant trade from NCVT.
Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in written test and trade test.
Dates of Written Exam & Admit cards of eligible candidates will be uploaded on the website.
Candidates can check their application status by entering Serial No. & date of Birth on the website.
Traveling Allowance: SC/ST Candidates appearing in Written Test and Trade Test will be paid traveling allowance of second class Railway/ Bus fare for onward and return journey by shortest route on production of proof
Application Fee: Non-refundable application fee of Rs. 50 is to be paid through a crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO)/ crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘The General Manager, OEF, Kanpur’.
SC/ST, PH, female and Ex-Serviceman candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through OEF, Kanpur website www.oefkanpur.gov.in within 21 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News i.e. till 21 March 2014 as the advertisement was published in the employment news dated 22 February 2014.
After submission of the online application, candidates should take its print out in two copies. One copy is to be retained by
the candidate for further reference and other one is to be sent along with attested copies of relevant certificates and bank DD/IPO in original to ‘The General Manager, Ordnance Equipment Factory, Kanpur-208001, Uttar Pradesh’ by post so as to reach the concerned authority within 7 days from the last date to apply online i.e. till 28 March 2014 (1700 hours).
On submission of the online application form, a unique Serial No. will be generated. Candidates should retain it for future
use.
On the envelope carrying the application, candidates should super-scribe ‘Name of the post applied for’.
Ex- Apprentices of O.E.F. Kanpur would also be required to apply online.
A candidate should apply for any one trade only.
