Muzaffarnagar District Administration has imposed prohibitory orders under CPRC Section 144 in view of upcoming UP board Exams.
The prohibitory orders (Section 144) put a bar on assembly of more than four people in public place and carrying of arms and other weapons.
According to Section 144, whoever is being armed with any deadly weapon, or with anything which, used as a weapon of offence, is likely to cause death, is a member of an unlawful assembly, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.
Additional District Magistrate (ADM) (Administration) Inder Mani Tripathi said that the prohibitory orders have been imposed in the district to maintain law and order for smooth conduct of the examinations.
UP Board Exams examinations will commence on 19 February and will end on 11 March 2015.
