SHO Appointment 2025: Keeping aside the old and traditional way for the appointment of Station House Officers (SHOs),the Delhi Police is all set to introduce a merit-based examination for the first time in its history. It will be first time that for the selection of Station House Officers (SHOs), the department has introduced a merit-based examination for the first time in its history. Keeing a side the earlier practices i.e. giving priority on seniority and experience, the Delhi Police will be conducting written exam to select the SHO posts across its departments.
According to media reports, the process will be implemented for the selection of 15 available positions in Cyber Police Stations for which a total of 122 police inspectors have been applied. Delhi police is set to introduce the selection model to enhance transparency, efficiency, and professionalism in the selection process for SHOs.
Move To Tackle Digital Crimes in Capital
The Delhi Police is set to conduct the written exam on March 18, 2025 for the SHO posts which are basically to select the derserving candidates to tackle the growing digital crimes in capital efficiently. These 15 Cyber SHO positions are to be filled through the competitive exam processs.
As per reports, the written examination is scheduled to be held on March 18 at the Delhi Police Academy in Wazirabad. All the officers selected through this process will have to manage many crucial responsibilities including cybercrime investigations, digital forensics, and cybersecurity enforcement.
