SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2025 for Tier 1
The SSC CGL exam pattern 2025 for tier 1 is the first paper which is conducted by the SSC for recruitment of candidates for the next stage. Candidates must qualify this stage to be shortlisted for Tier 2 exam.
- The exam consists of four sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.

What is SSC CGL Marking Scheme?
The marking scheme differs between the SSC CGL Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams. In SSC CGL Tier 1, candidates receive 2 marks for each correct answer, with a penalty of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer. In SSC CGL Tier 1 exam, there is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer. In SSC CGL Tier 2, the negative marking varies: 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I, while 0.50 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer in Paper-II.
