Following the pattern of IBPS PO exam, Syndicate bank has also introduced descriptive test in recruitment examination of Probationary officers (PO) this year.

Syndicate Bank has invited application for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) in Junior Management Grade / Scale-I through its Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course.  The exam provides a golden opportunity to young talent.  This time the examination pattern of syndicate bank PO has changed. The recruitment authority has introduced an online descriptive test of English language carrying 50 marks.

Selection Process:

Candidates shall be selected by Syndicate Bank through a selection process consisting of an (open) online test conducted by IBPS followed by Interview and/or Group Discussion.

Note: Each Candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each objective test and also minimum total score in the objective test. Depending on the number of vacancies cut offs will be decided in each test. The descriptive test is for qualifying purpose only. Wrong answers in objective test will attract negative marks for the online test.

Syllabus for General Awareness: This will cover static GK Questions, current affairs and banking awareness questions. The current affairs questions will cover the last 6 months events of both national and international importance. Static GK Questions will be from country and capital, country and currency, , airports, ports in India, tallest and biggest in India and the world, first in the world as well as in India, cabinet ministers of union government, state capitals etc. Financial Awareness section will cover banking in India, banking terminology, bank headquarters, slogans of banks, regulatory bodies in India etc. Some of the important topics for this section are-
