Eligibility Conditions for Recruitment in Tamil Nadu TRB (Teacher Recruitment Board)

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess MA/ MSc/ MCom in the relevant subject with BEd. Candidates should have studied the same subject in Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree, both for academic subjects and Languages from any recognised University/ Institution

For the post of Physical Education Director-Grade-I, the candidates should have any Bachelor's Degree with MPEd Degree from any recognised University/ Institution

Note: The candidates applying should have passed Tamil Language as Part I or Part II up to SSLC and PUC/ Higher Secondary Course levels. If not, he/she should pass Tamil Language Test conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission within two years from the date of their appointment

Age Limit (as on 1 July 2012): Maximum 57 years

Employment Registration: Only those candidates who have registered in Professional and Executive Employment Office, Chennai for Postgraduate Assistant or Physical Education Directo -Gr.I on or before the last date for submission of filled-in applications, and who hold updated registration card are eligible to apply for the posts

Pay Band: Rs 9300-34,800 + Rs 4800 Grade Pay

Selection Procedure for Recruitment in Tamil Nadu TRB (Teacher Recruitment Board)

The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Written Examination scheduled to be held on 27 May 2012

The written examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration with 150 marks. The question paper will be of objective type with multiple-choice questions. The marks allotted to the Main Subject, Educational Methodology and General Knowledge are mentioned below

• Main subject: 110 marks
• Educational Methodology: 30 marks
• General Knowledge: 10 marks

How to Apply for Recruitment in Tamil Nadu TRB (Teacher Recruitment Board)

Candidates are advised to submit the filled-in forms in person at the Office of the Chief Educational Officer concerned, and obtain acknowledgement for the same. Applications received in any form other than the one issued by Teachers Recruitment Board or Chief Educational Officers shall be rejected.

Note: Candidates can submit the Application forms at any CEO's office only. Don't send the forms to TRB

Application Fee: The Application Form (OMR formal) along with Prospectus can be obtained (from 16 March 2012 to 30 March 2012) in person from the Office of the Chief Educational Office, of all 32 Districts in Tamil Nadu on payment of Rs 50 (Rupees fifty only) in cash.

The candidates are requested to pay the examination fees Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC/ST and Physically Challenged) and the Bank Charges Rs 50 in any Branch of STATE BANK OF INDIA using only the prescribed challan attached with the prospectus
