UP NHM CHO Selection Procedure 2024
The selection of candidates shall be purely made on the basis of merit and percentage of total marks obtained in high school and intermediate, along with theory and practical of all years of the B.Sc. (Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) exam and COVID experience weightage (85 marks obtained in high school, intermediate, all years of Integrated CCHN B.Sc. Nursing/PB B.Sc. Nursing and 15 marks for COVID experience).

Note: In cases where there is no formula for calculating the percentage provided in the mark sheet and the mark range is given to determine the percentage, the average of the range shall be considered for calculation. For example, if an 80%–90% mark range is given for an A+ grade, the percentage shall be calculated on average, i.e., 85%.
UP NHM CHO Document Verification
The details regarding the date, time and venue of the DVP will be communicated to the registered candidate via email or mobile number. No request for a change of DVP date will be accepted in this regard. Candidates will be invited for DVP in the ratio of 1:10 against the total vacancies.
During the DVP, the candidate will have to submit one set of self-attested photocopies of all the relevant documents and two photos. If the candidate fails to submit relevant original documents during the verification, their candidature shall be cancelled.

UP NHM CHO Selection Procedure 2024: Resolution of Tie Cases
In case of a tie of marks obtained by more than one candidate in the UP NHM CHO selection process, the resolution will be made in the following order:
- In case of a tie, the candidate who obtained a higher percentage in B.Sc./PB B.Sc. Nursing will be placed higher in the merit.
- If a tie still exists, the candidate older in date of birth will be placed higher, i.e., the candidate older in age seniority will be placed higher.
- If the tie is still there, the candidate with a name in alphabetical order will be placed higher.
- If a tie still exists, the candidate who obtained higher marks (in%) in Intermediate will be placed higher.
