Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination 2016: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the e-Admit Card for the Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination 2016. The admit cards are available at the official website of the Commission. The examination is scheduled to commence from 13 May 2016.
The Commission had announced for the examination earlier in the month of February 2016, through a detailed advertisement (Advt No. 4/2016-GEOL). The closing date of online registration was 04 March 2016. Applications were invited for the UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination 2016 for recruitment to 208 vacancies for the posts of Geophysicists, Geologist, Chemist and Junior Hydrologists. While the minimum educational qualification required was Post graduate degree, specialization for each of the above mentioned posts was also mentioned in the UPSC advertisement.
Examination Scheme for UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination 2016
Candidates, who are all prepared for the examination, must throw a last-minute-glance on the examination pattern.
The examination will be held in two stages: Part I (Written Examination) and Part II (Interview/ Personality Test). While General English will be a common paper for all, the written examination will comprise of subject specific questions, for each of the posts.
