For all the XAT exam aspirants, November 30, 2017, is the last date to get registered for XAT 2018 exam. Those willing to take admission in XLRI, Jamshedpur must apply today earliest by today. The exam is scheduled to take place on 7th January 2018.
Application fees for XAT Exam
All the interested and eligible candidates can apply for the XAT exam by paying a fees of INR 1650/-. Those who are willing to appear in the XAT exam, and fail register themselves, can apply by December 15, 2017 with a late of INR 350/-. Candidates registering themselves after November 30, are required to make payment of INR 2000/- only.
Eligibility Criteria for XAT 2018
As per the latest norms released by XLRI, all the candidates holding graduation degree can appear for the exam. Unlike the other MBA exams in which a candidate needs minimum 50 per cent in the graduation, XAT exam has not made percentage a mandate for the candidates willing to appear in the exam.
In addition, all the Indian candidates are required to appear for the XAT exam. Whereas the foreign nationals are required to submit GMAT score to seek admission in XLRI Jamshedpur.
How many questions to attempt to get a good percentile in XAT 2018
XAT Exam Pattern
XAT exams test the aptitude of the aspirants in two parts. In the first paper, the aspirants are required 72 questions will have 3 sections on Decision Making; Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability & Logical reasoning and Data Interpretation. The score of the first paper is used to determine the position and merit position of the candidates. The time allotted to complete 1st paper is 170 minutes for each candidate.
The second paper carries General Awareness and Essay Writing Test. Although in the selection process, this part holds great relevance but for it is not taken into consideration for calculating the percentile score. For completing the GK section which is usually MCQ based test, 10 minutes time is allotted. For the Essay writing paper, 25 minutes are provided to pen down the opinion on the assigned topic.
