Vande Bharat to Connect Katra and Srinagar

Delhites travelling to Kashmir will now have a luxurious journey with the launching of this new Vande Bharat Train:

• The Vande Bharat Express will run between Katra and Srinagar, improving rail connectivity to the valley.
• Travelers from Delhi or other cities must first reach Katra and then board the Vande Bharat train to Srinagar.
• Passengers need to book separate tickets for Delhi to Katra and Katra to Srinagar journeys.

Katra to Srinagar Vande Bharat Start On

According to News18, a senior railway official confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Vande Bharat train on 17 February 2025. After the launch, passengers can travel directly to Srinagar by train.

The train will halt at key stations, including Reasi, Bakkal, Dugga, Sawalkot, Sangaldan, Sumber, Khari, Banihal, Qazigund, Sadura, Anantnag, Bijbehara, Panzgam, Avantipora, Ratnipora, Kakapora, Pampore.

Srinagar Vande Bharat Train to Expand Route Soon

Initially, the Vande Bharat train will run between Katra and Srinagar. In a few months, the route will be extended from Jammu to Srinagar. The train will take around 2.5 to 3 hours to complete the journey, making travel to Kashmir easier, more affordable, and more enjoyable!
